On the Ground Marketing
This is where you come in! While we drive majority of our customers through online marketing, your support of the brand in your local area helps us to grow and drive even more customers!
- Ask local businesses if they will display a few of your brochures for you. This might be your kid’s school, daycare, swimming schools, community centers, community notice boards at the supermarket. Basically anywhere you frequent could be a good place!
- When you pickup a new client, mail drop every house in the street. If you can find 2 or 3 more customers in the same street and have them pickup on the same day then you have doubled or tripled your income from that one pickup!
- The same goes in an office, if you know someone working a 9-5 office job in your area, ask them to display some brochures at their work for you.
- Display your car magnets. This is a great form of advertising, you never know who sees you in traffic and the more times they see you the more likely they are to jump on the website. (Just make sure you are driving responsibly!!)
- Invest in our branded clothing. Wearing the Laundry Lady logo displays our brand wherever you go. You’ll get people stop in you in the shops and ask all about it! Branded clothing is available on our Supplies Order Form, and don’t forget to wear your name badges!!
- Think about local businesses that use towels, sheets or uniforms regularly and approach them to see what they currently do for their laundry services. You’ll find many are not happy with their current arrangements (especially if it involves taking them home themselves) and are very excited to find out that our services exist. Think beauty salons, medical clinics, hospitals, real estates, holiday rentals, restaurants, sports teams and centre's, retirement villages and so on.
- Let your friends know what you are doing! Get them to tell their friends. Word of mouth is our greatest marketing tool.
- Share our posts on Facebook and Instagram! Share into local Facebook community groups you follow.
Important: Do NOT place flyers directly into residential mailboxes in Canada.
Residential mailboxes here are regulated by Canada Post. Only Canada Post may deliver items into mailboxes, and placing materials inside without postage is prohibited.
To share flyers locally within legal guidelines, you can:
-
Walk a neighbourhood and speak with the homeowners directly and offer them a flyer.
-
Leave brochures at local businesses that welcome community advertising (cafés, salons, daycares, gyms, etc.).
-
Post on community notice boards at libraries, recreation centres, and community hubs.
-
Distribute flyers using the paid service through Canada Post’s Neighbourhood Mail service if you want them delivered door-to-door. The cost of using this option is at the contractor's expense.
These methods help you spread the word without violating our postal
